Expectations

mohanji-98

Hello friends, this is Mohanji.

I used to do podcasting many years ago when I was in Dubai in the mid-2000s. The podcasts were called, ‘Mohan’s World.’ It was in a studio, run by a man called Peter Hall. It was quite a cozy and comfortable makeshift studio, in a car shed. In the podcasts, I used to talk about something; (it was) one show every week. There were a lot of listeners from many parts of the world. People used to connect to me, talk to me, that is, and communicate with me.

This was the period before Facebook started and YouTube had just begun. There were much communication and many interactions (through the podcasts). When I stopped it, many people complained saying that we want it back! Due to various reasons, many years passed by and I couldn’t really put myself into a position where I could have steady communication. Now we are attempting to start a kind of communication, directly, from me to you. This is an attempt to connect using the waves of sound.

mohanji2

I like the radio. Radio has its charm. We are in the world of no visuals. Of all our senses, the one that consumes the most energy are the eyes. So I like the idea that we can close our eyes and listen, and it really makes sense to me. I like it. A type of communication, where you cannot see my face but you can only hear my voice and you accept my sound as it comes, and you remain as you are, at that point in time.

We will try to do one podcast a week, like I used to do earlier or if possible more. During this time of Corona, we have more time and I’m in one location, and so we will try to do more. The whole idea is that we are talking and we are communicating from a distance, where you don’t see my face and you’re only listening to my voice, and you accept it. You probably would like to assimilate it at your own pace. That is absolutely fine.

So, what are the subjects that we could talk about, or what do we talk? It depends on you. If you can tell me, if you have a particular subject that you would like me to address, I’m really happy to do that. And this subject should be relevant to the world. It should not be personal because that will not make sense. You have a personal issue and if I talk about it to the world over a podcast, it doesn’t make sense. So we should talk about something which everybody can relate to. That’s very important.

For every podcast, I will choose a subject, which would most likely be a universal topic, maybe something I heard of or something which I listened to or somebody asked me something etc. such that everybody can enjoy it. This is my idea.

Today, what do we talk about? I do not want to talk about anything serious today, because this is the introduction. We have started a podcast channel. We are now trying to get back to our old communication mode. Let us keep this episode very simple, very mild. And we will talk about the details of various things later; we have time.

expectations

Today, a little while back, I heard a particular speech by Osho. I didn’t listen to it fully. I listened to it for a few minutes, in which he said, “I’m happy that you don’t believe in me, because if you believed in me, it would have been my responsibility. Since you don’t believe in me, I’m relieved. I’m free. If you had actually believed in me, maybe you would have even taken revenge, because you would have come with expectations. And if you had come with expectations, and those expectations were not fulfilled, you might be angry; you might be disappointed; you might be upset. And you may take revenge on me. So, I’m relieved that I don’t have to tackle your revenge”.

It is ironical; it’s slightly skeptical or even satirical. But if we think deeply about it, isn’t that the truth? We connect to somebody with an expectation all the time. All of our relationships have an expectation, inbuilt in them. Have we thought about it? And what happens to that expectation? If it is fulfilled, you are happy and you would develop more expectations. If you don’t fulfil it or if it doesn’t get fulfilled, then disappointment happens. And that can even take to the edge of revenge. Is that person responsible? Absolutely not! It’s we who are connecting with an expectation, which is responsible for our reality. Thus, every time, our reality is completely controlled by how we are, what we are. This is very important to understand.

attachments

On that note, I will leave you today. This is food for thought. I would like to give you food for thought each time so that you can think about it.

A man who can contemplate is a human being. Human beings have the capacity for contemplation. We have the capacity for meditation. So, let us contemplate, let us analyze, let us understand, and let us assimilate. I am with you; I will talk to you again, later.

Wish you a great week ahead and be happy always and be safe.

Lots of love.

How to attain permanent happiness?

mohanji

We all know deep inside, chasing the paltry pleasures of life is not life. We know there is something deeper. We all know, we all feel that there is something deeper and profound in this existence. And many times, we feel that what we’re doing is not the right thing. That’s why people will ask the question, what’s the purpose of my life?

Well, karmically the purpose of your life is every moment experience; the waking state experience, the dream state experience and the deep sleep state experience. Sum total is life. We express what we are to the world outside, and that’s also part of the purpose of our existence. But we know deep within, we feel that this is not what the whole thing is about. These pleasures are temporary, they come and go. And then we crave for more. Then it becomes a habit, then it becomes an addiction. Like that it goes, going round and round, it doesn’t evolve. We go for the familiar likes and dislikes. So, we have this continuous need for pleasures. But at the same time, we are not happy. We are happy when pleasures are accomplished. Familiar situations make us happy. Comfort zones make us happy and we crave for it. If that’s taken away, we feel like a fish out of water. That’s a very scary feeling, you know. People become restless and people become insecure.

happy

So, we are experiencing a situation like that, now, with this lockdown happening. We do not know what to do. We don’t have the usual freedom which we are used to, for a long time. So we feel, how do we handle this? It’s a very good time to get back to yourself and ask this question. It is a good time to ask a good question. What is a good question? What makes me really happy? What is happiness? What makes me really happy?

None of these recurring needs for certain pleasures is making us happy. They’re making us feel okay. That’s not happiness. Happiness is a permanent state. That question happened in everybody’s mind at some point in time. And this is an inevitable question.

When the great masters went deep inside exploring this question over time, again and again, they realized a few things. One of the major things is the cause of sorrows. The cause of sorrows, they narrowed it down to dependencies, deep expectations and fears. These are the causes of sorrows, major causes of sorrows. There are many minor causes but a major cause of sorrows are expectations and dependencies, as well as fears, and then, they started working on them.

Mohanji2

First and foremost, what are dependencies? We are dependent on so many things in life, including the dress we wear, the food we eat, the places we are used to, the relationships that we have, and the environment, spaces, time, and so many factors. And these are the things which are very detrimental for us; to leave the usual patterns and reach a state of freedom with no patterns. What they found through contemplation, they could correct also through contemplation, by going individually, facing each fear, understanding each dependency, accepting each expectation.

So, while understanding each dependency, they realized that they are all connected to certain notions of pleasure. If I have this person with me, I am happy. If the person goes away, I feel insecure. If I have this relationship; if the person is happy with me, I’m happy, if the person is not happy with me, I’m sad. Like that, there are so many permutations, combinations which we have created for ourselves. So, they found that all these relationships had an element of conditionality; that so many relationships are very conditional and it’s related to a certain time, space, moods, so many factors. So, there is no continuity there. How can you change that?  Make all relationships unconditional. That solves that issue, which means less expectation.

dependency

Give more than what you take. So, if you require less from people, from the relations, then you’re free. So, freedom is connected to the expectations of a certain nature. If expectations are less, we have more freedom. Likewise fears. Many fears that we have, have no root. They are connected to certain notions, certain beliefs and certain things which we have picked up from society, from education, from people, and from religion. So, these fears, they bind you because you don’t do anything about it. Then they realized that it is good to face those fears, address them, look into the eyes and accept them. The moment you start looking into your fears; you’re not afraid of your fears anymore. Fears wither away. So, every dependency every addiction, every pattern, they are all kind of staying there because we don’t address them.

So individually, contemplation has a lot of value. We contemplate on it, and we come to terms with it. We start accepting ourselves more and more, and we start doing things in a non-reactive way; we don’t react. We don’t react at all. We respond. And we do not resist. Instead, we accept.

This became a big help. And that’s the way they guided the next generations. These masters guided the next generations to accept themselves, assimilate themselves and have permanent happiness, freedom.

happiness

Permanent happiness is a possibility when the dependencies are fewer, expectations are less, acceptance is more, fears are less or fears are taken care of. If we go into that kind of a mode, then, we do have the possibility of a permanent happiness state. Permanent happiness is when the mind is not running after needs, requirements, and wants; when the mind is stable and peaceful. That’s when the permanent happiness happens. So permanent happiness is a state which is definitely achievable to every individual. For this, the step is not meditation, it’s contemplation, introspection, acceptance.

Success against all odds

Hello friends!

Welcome to a new episode. I hope you enjoyed the previous ones and you did communicate it with your friends and discussed it over; thought about it and digested it.

Today, we talk about a very important subject, which is now very common in most discussions; FAILURE. Failure is looming large in the horizon today, especially in the COVID situation when the whole world is on lockdown. More than half the population are indoors, and we don’t know what’s going to happen. The economy is also not doing so well in the world and production is affected, distribution is affected, the purchase is affected; our normal life is affected.

attitude

So in this condition, we do not know what to do, what to say. In this context, I would like to talk about failure, from a different angle. Failure from what? It is usually from our expectations; we made plans, we made goals, we made expectations, and if it did not happen as we expected, we call it a failure. But is it really a failure?  We can redefine, if we made expectations we can redefine it, right? We can also redefine our goals, we can re-plan, we can re-install, we can reinvent, and we have that capacity because it all started with us. We are still the same. We are healthy, we are intact. Situations were not in our control. But that should not stop us; if we have a good objective, if we have a clear objective, if we are here to give life and enhancement to the world around us – why not – it’s not a failure, there is no failure. Whatever happens in the world, we don’t have to worry.

success

Now I will tell you a couple of stories, they are not full stories, but it’s just a kind of hint so that you understand how some people handled their failures and found success. One is Honda. You heard about Honda, the car company in Japan? The founder of Honda – Mr Honda – he started his work in a very low position in the world. And then with all his effort and investment, he found a factory. Then World War II happened and bombing happened, and his factory was totally bombed. Everything that he invested in, everything that he envisaged became ashes, completely gone. Then he had to start again. But he started again, he did not sit down and cry, he did not blame anybody, he did not blame the situation, he did not blame the people, and he did not blame America. He did not blame, but instead, he picked himself up and started walking. And he made that particular part of the car, and he tried to sell it to Toyota. When Toyota said it’s not good enough, quality is not good; he went ahead and he again redid it. And then he brought it again. Toyota rejected saying not good. Again, the third time, fourth time, a few times later, the product was accepted by Toyota. Mass orders came, he started producing, and then like that he reinvented his dream. And it took time, but then he did not stop.

So, we should have a heart like that; not to stop at adversities. Otherwise, we are a victim of a dream, lack of fulfilment of a dream. So we should not be victims.

Another person, Sylvester Stallone, you all know him very well. He made a script for the movie Rocky, and he went to various producers. Many people liked the script. They said they will produce it, and they even decided who the actor should be to play the major role, but Sylvester Stallone said, only he will play the major role, the character should be him. He wants to play it. But nobody wanted him because he’s a rank outsider, nobody knows him. He does not have value in the outside world because nobody knows him. So, a person who is not recognized may not be accepted either. They wanted an accepted actor to play, but Sylvester Stallone insisted he will sell his script, only if he is that character; he’s the actor, main hero. And finally, for a small amount, he was able to sell his script with him as the hero, and that became a big hit. Rocky came. Rocky was a very big hit. And then it’s history. He had literally to toil; he even acted in a pornographic film to survive. He did not have money. So from there, he scrambled and with his effort and with his determination, he reached that level. We all can do that; we have that in us. It’s our attitude.

success1

Failure is not a failure if our attitude is right. If our attitude is to survive, if our attitude is to be successful, if our attitude is to win, we will win. Otherwise, for every small thing, we sit down, complain and we will not be able to function.

So, this COVID situation is giving us an opportunity to be winners, to be successful, to succeed over adversities. This is a great opportunity because situations are grossly beyond control, and we see a lot of people pessimistic. A lot of people you talk to, they don’t give you good information. What they tell you is that things are not right, and situations will go worse. Maybe situations will go worse. We don’t know. But we can always be positive; we can do whatever we can within our control. And we must.

There should not be any shame here. If our goal is pure, if our aim is pure, if our intention is pure and if everything is selfless and we really want to make a mark in the world; nothing should stop us. We have no failure. So, this is the thought I would like to give to you today. And with this thought I leave you to contemplate, to discuss, to understand it further, to assimilate. Try to find out a lot of people who have succeeded in life against all odds. Those who have succeeded, they have succeeded after a lot of effort, nobody had a cakewalk.

See, now we have a great foundation, Mohanji Foundation, a foundation which is spread over many countries. So many people know us. This foundation is available to you. You can walk forward, and you can do your stuff through this. Don’t look at what you don’t have. Look at what you have, you have a huge family; the family we have around the world is a huge family, and this is a very powerful family because collectively we are strong.

Individually, we might be weak. Individually, we can’t do many things. But collectively we can do a lot of things, and there is a lot of power and energy behind us, in us and outside us, so we utilize it well.

And like, Walt Disney, who went to many places and approached many financials, and they never thought that a Mickey Mouse will sell. And finally, one banker, after his few visits, agreed that okay, I’ll give you start finance, and then the rest is history. The Disney World happened, and everything was glory. Like that we all can make glory.

So, please don’t ever sit on your dream, or believe that you’re a failure, time is not right; all these things have to be discarded. Get it done. Move it.

Lots of love.

The real wealth in life is YOU

pic15

Hello friends. This is Mohanji.

Hope you are enjoying the podcasts and hope you are commenting, or you’re giving suggestions continuously.

Today, I would like to discuss with you about a very, very important aspect of our life, which most of the people are chasing their whole life. That thing is wealth. What exactly is wealth? This question, it needs a lot of contemplation. What is wealth? What is real wealth?

I would like to tell you a story. A child went to his father and told his father, “What is the most important thing that I must do in my life?” Father said, “You should remain wealthy. If you’re not born wealthy, that’s not your fault. That’s your destiny. But if you die poor that means you did not do well in life.”

Then the child started wondering how to earn wealth? He went to a Master. The Master said, “Whatever you earn from outside, it is not permanent. What you earn inside, it’s permanent. That means, what you can take with you everywhere, without effort, and what you can take when you leave from here, naturally, that’s your real wealth.”

The child started pondering and then the contemplation, like we are doing now, the food for thought happened. He started investigating.

He worked hard, and he earned some money. He saw many people around him; they were working hard, the rich people and the people who were striving for more and more. And then he found that many people do not get satisfaction, contentment. They’re always busy, they’re always stressed, they’re always anxious.

Then he saw another set of people who are lazy, they don’t do anything. They complain, they don’t have the energy or they have tremendous inertia, and they don’t do anything in life. So, that’s the other side. Then he also saw a lot of people exploiting others and living; many political people and those kinds of people who live their life exploiting others; so he did not like that. Then, he got a real view of the whole world, various types of people from beggars to millionaires; nobody’s happy, nobody is satisfied. Then he understood what the Master told him. What you can carry inside is real wealth.

you

So what is the real wealth? He understood; every moment, I must be happy. So he started working sufficiently, and he decided that this is only to make a survival. Then, he found a lot of happiness when he gave or shared what he had with others. When he took care of his parents, he became very happy; he was feeling good. And when he was taking care of the stray animals, feeding the stray animals, he was happy; he was feeling good. He found that happiness is in these small things of life; being available, being aware and being able to share. Not that waiting for some happiness at some point in time, which is elusive happiness; it’s not coming. It may happen or it may not happen. So, he started focusing on what he could do in this world, and he started giving more and more, whatever he has, started sharing, so he maintained his happiness. And then he understood. This is real wealth.

What is real wealth? That every moment happiness is the real wealth. It’s not the money you have in your bank account or what you do not have, and we naturally tend to compare. This is human nature. Who do we compare with? Always somebody who’s above us, or more successful than us. That’s natural for us. That’s human nature, we can’t help it. That’s fine. That’s okay. But at the same time, comparisons and competitions, they are all distractions. Instead, he focused on his work. Then he understood; the real effort is in applying what has been given, or what you are doing at that time. So, he started applying himself. He started becoming successful. He also became wealthy that way and whenever he had wealth, whenever he got something, he did not think twice, but he started sharing. So, he maintained his wealth. The maintenance of wealth for him, he understood was his ability to share; not in hoarding, in keeping more and more for himself. And he knew that many people who are wealthy are extremely insecure because they tend to keep everything, and they don’t enjoy them – the fruits of success. And they do not do anything to keep the flow. So, he understood, sharing makes wealth more meaningful.

wealth

And finally, one day, he went back to the Master, and he told the Master, “Master, I have understood your message. You told me to go out and seek wealth, but spend more time to go in and seek wealth. I found the real wealth sits inside me. I’m happy now, I’m contented and peaceful, thank you for guiding me.” Then, the Master said, “But please remember, the real wealth is YOU. You are the real wealth. If you are not existing, none of these options and opportunities will be existing.”

Finally, real wealth is YOU. If you are there, then the world has you. If you are not there, the world does not have you. And if you are there, you have a world. If you are not there, you do not have the world. So this is a relative existence.

And be happy with yourself, then you have found wealth. I leave you with this thought. Ponder over it. Try to digest it. Talk about it, discuss it with others, share this thought, and do let us know whether you liked it or whether you did not like it or what else we can talk about. Let’s talk, let’s communicate. I wish you a great week ahead.

Be successful. Be yourself.

Lots of love.

Why do we fail to help others?

Hello friends! This is Mohanji.

Today, I would like to answer a question from a young man. “How do you make other people successful when you have lots of things to do?”

Well, it’s a beautiful question. I liked it. It is because making other people successful – that’s a very big thought. To be honest with you, I never thought of it that way. I did not think I am making other people successful. I made this platform called Mohanji and so many people are finding fulfillment with this and I would like to attribute it to the Tradition. I always attribute everything to the Tradition. I do not take any ownership.

Having said that, where do we start? It’s a big question, right? We have to start somewhere. We have to help ourselves. We have to be stable to hold the hands of another person; who’s probably looking for help or maybe he may have not explored himself, in any way. We can guide a person to himself or we can give guidance to those who need guidance; all these are possible. Anyway, everything is fine.

doubts

I was looking at how did I help myself? So, I went back to my own life; my childhood, my youth, my working time – working in a company, at these times, what was l doing? I was helping myself. I was basically helping myself and in the bargain, I might have helped others. But what are we doing actually in life? This question we should always ask. It’s a very important question. I was looking at this whole perspective in a very logical way; not spiritually but just logically. The building-up stage, I have received a lot of assistance; we all have – from our parents, from the teachers, from everybody.

So many factors have built us up. This being which we call ‘us’ today have a lot of background. There has been a lot of support from many people. First of all, starting from your mother because a mother has always nine months more relationship with you than anybody else in the society; you stayed in her stomach for nine months before you came out into the society. So, a mother has a deeper connection. Starting from a mother, step by step, stage by stage, we have received a lot of help from the people, from society, from the environment, from nature.

All our aspirations, all our feelings, all our emotions have something to do with something. It’s not just stand-alone. So, if you look at this large canvas of who helped us, we will have to say so many things; uncountable, you don’t know even how to count. It’s been so many. And it will give you a lot of wonders. My God! All these years we have walked on Earth but we never acknowledged anybody, any being. We took almost everything for granted. We never appreciated deeply. Are we right? Probably we have appreciated partially, selectively; that’s all fine. But have we really understood and appreciated? That makes a difference here. We complain, “Oh, this is not right, that is not right. People are not okay. They’re not giving me enough” etc. But have we started appreciating everything that has happened to us.

mohanji-quote-the-more-you-operate-with-spontaneity

Everything has contributed; what you are today is a total of all these contributions and experiences; good experiences, bad experiences, everything together. We have understood life. We have understood people in whichever capacity because of all these experiences. Isn’t this wonderful? It’s really wonderful. Then, you reach a level of maturity where you start giving what you have to others; your experience, your time, your love, your money, what you have in abundance. Whatever you have in abundance, you would like to share because you realize that this makes you happier. This is happiness. This makes you happier, this makes you more purposeful. This is life. At that point in time, we don’t look back, we go ahead. Okay, this is what it is.

Likewise, we are born into a family. But do we have a family? Do we really have a family? This question should be asked. Why did we not have a family? It is because we never accepted ourselves in the first place. So, we have to help ourselves. Only when we help ourselves, we can help the world. Only when we accept ourselves, we can accept others. So, it is all about us; how we handle ourselves. If we handle ourselves with anger, disappointment, insecurity, so many factors which pulls us down, then we will handle the world the same way. The world is just a reflection; it’s like a mirror. What you see outside will be this. When we blame somebody else, understand we are actually blaming ourselves. Because we can’t blame ourselves and get away with it, we blame other people and in that bargain, you spoil a relationship. We compare, why do we compare? Those who compare are heavily insecure. Those who are really secure, those who are very happy, very contented with oneself will never compare. There’s nothing to compare. You appreciate another person, not compare.

anger

So, when we compete, it’s the same thing. We have some deficiency. We feel that we are not up there. So we try to compete with another; to beat that person in a certain game, in certain aspects of life. And then we feel good. But look at this whole thing. Are we really happy with all this? Never! We are never contented. We become contented only when we become helpful in the world. That gives us perpetual peace. That gives us contentment. That’s very important to remember. So, when we try to help others, when we decide, “I would like to help the world spontaneously”, automatically, we’re helping ourselves and we are stabilizing ourselves. We are being stable; we are being purposeful. So, helping others is spontaneous when you are already stable. You can see that in the world.

Most of the people who are at a great level of awareness, they are always available to the world. They don’t sit at home and have personal enjoyments. Those who are insecure and sometimes those who have not accepted themselves, those who have not helped themselves, or those who have not really groomed themselves, beyond the competitions and comparisons, they have to do that first. They are not available to the world because they are leading a selfish life. They do not agree with people, they do not accept people, they do not really love people. But they expect love. Can you get love when you don’t give love? You can’t. You get only what you give. This is the way the world is made. So we have to understand, we have to look within and we have to find ourselves. And that platform which I think I have provided, that is my biggest contribution; a platform where you can find yourself and you can express yourself freely. It’s not behind somebody, ahead of somebody, it’s together with everybody.

So this is something which I would like to give you as food for thought. Why do we fail to help others? Try to find the answer. Go within, look within, contemplate. And see what makes you not help others, or what makes you compare with others. What makes you compete with others? Understand that this is all sitting within us. You don’t have to do any of this. We are unique. We have all the power, all the facilities that existence can ever provide. And we are unique, absolutely unique. This is the thought I would like to leave you with until I see you next time. Ponder over it, discuss among yourselves. Try to build something out of it. Try to build a structure out of it. All the things I’m giving you are to improve yourself and your standards of living. I would like to leave you with this. Wish you a great day and time and I’m always with you.

Use Human Zoo to Reconnect

Mohanji 2

March 22nd, 2020

Hello friends.

This is Mohanji.

We’ve been talking about the coronavirus and its effects for some days now and we are feeling it, every moment. We have seen that the human kingdom is affected; the human world is affected deeply. We are all in confinement. We are actually feeling now how the animals feel to be in the zoo in confinement, their whole life. We are now getting a taste of it, how it feels to be inside a factory farm, how it feels to be inside a zoo. And this confinement is teaching us great lessons where we feel how important our freedom is. All the beings (of non-human species) who are free are rejoicing and when all the human beings are confined to their rooms, we can see that the other kingdoms – animal kingdom and bird kingdom are rejoicing; they are roaming free, they are happy, there is less pollution, there is less radiation, there is less sound.

Mohanji 3

So, you see the difference we have made in the world now, the difference that we have actually been making in this world. We have not only confined animals to farms and zoos, we have literally starved them, tortured them, mutilated them and injected them with so many chemicals, did scientific experiments on their bodies, and killed them. We even stole the babies from their mothers. You know, mother and baby have a very sacred relationship, whichever species it is. A baby and its mother’s relationship are always highly sacred, but we have been insensitive. We stole babies of cows in factory farms and isolated them. We are doing so many things for the sake of our pleasure; for the sake of the milk of the mother, we separate the mother and baby. It’s a very bad thing. It’s a very sad thing.

Now, nature has kept us all indoors and made us feel what we are doing in this world. And this is a good time for introspection. This is a good time for contemplation. This is a good time. So, we now understand what sort of anguish and anxiety we have created in the animal kingdom. Especially perversions like trophy hunting, hunting for the pleasure of mind. Hunting means killing somebody, killing an animal who never wanted to die; a peacefully settled animal, just being killed for the sake of pleasure. Animal kingdom never does that. In the animal kingdom, a lion only kills when he’s hungry. Otherwise, he does not kill any being, but we do; human beings do.

nature

Awareness and Unity

So, this confinement is giving us a lot of awareness or it should give us that awareness and refinement. Now, all the major places of visit are closed: temples are closed, mosques are closed, and churches are closed. Places of pilgrimages are closed, malls are closed, cinemas are closed, airports are partially closed. The transportation industry is severely affected, tourism is affected. There are no cruise ships going around. There is no major tourism happening at all. And people are asked to sit at home in each country. So, almost 7.5 billion people are sitting at home.

We have family unity now; we are all together. This is beautiful. I mean, we have perhaps never spent so much time with each other for a long time, even as a family. But now we are meeting each other as family. This is beautiful. So we must make the best use of this time, we must recreate the bonding, recreate the love, connection, recreate togetherness; this is a good time for that. And this is also one of the reasons why we have been put together: to reconnect, to re-establish love, companionship, togetherness, to look at each other. So this is a good time for that.

This also gives us enough time to reconsider our habits, our addictions, our relations, our needs, and greed. It’s a good time. I would leave you to think about this, this aspect and we’ll talk later, soon.

Lots of love.

Corona Virus – God given chance for transformation

March 21, 2020

Hello friends,

It’s been a few days since we have been experiencing a kind of forced confinement. We are all indoors and most of the other beings are outdoors. They are having a natural life; while we one species, human species is confined to stay indoors.

There is a big lesson to learn here. I can see that we are all busy praying that the situation ends. But we should be busy taking oaths and vows to change the way we live on this earth.  That’s the most important thing today. We have been living unconsciously, insensitively: using, abusing, misusing the natural resources without any remorse, without any guilt and the nature is paying back. Nature is giving us a choice, a chance to think, to understand, to change. So, this situation is not an ordinary situation.

World War III

They said that the world has never experienced such a standstill since the World War II. So, this could be considered as a World War III. But the World War III is not between human beings. It’s between human beings and nature. This is nature’s practical joke. It’s a practical joke. Nature put all of us inside, bound by fear and asked us to think, asked us to realize what we have been doing. What is the result of that? It is our insensitive lifestyle, our unconscious activities and our lack of understanding plus disconnection from the whole existence outside. So, nature is giving us a chance and a choice to understand and correct. So, this is not exactly the only the time for prayers; this should be the time for reinvention.

helpless

First of all, we need to introspect, contemplate and understand, we need to analyze and understand, we need to understand that all these years, we have used and abused this Earth, our space, the very space that we have to live and we have to hand over to the next generation. If you take the last hundred years, we have grown technologically but we have not grown in awareness. If you take the last 200 years, we have grown in industries and we polluted the Earth indiscriminately.

Land has become toxic, air has become toxic, and water has become toxic. Everything that is around us – all the basic facilities and faculties that we need to survive on Earth, in a very peaceful way, has become toxic because of man-made disasters or man’s unconscious existence, lack of understanding, or over emphasis on profits. These are the ways that we must change. We have to really think as so many things that we have done are irreversible. You can’t change that. It’s already happened. It’s done. Not possible to reverse, at least in the next couple of generations. And whenever in the past a species started becoming overwhelming, there were natural disasters, cleaning up, wiping away and creating new species.

So, this situation is very much possible for us if we live unconsciously: global warming, factory farms, pollution of various levels, toxins in the air, water and earth, living in square walls in square spaces; while human beings are multi-dimensional, we are confined to spaces which are square and rectangle which is again confinement; the walls that we created for ourselves: emotional walls, intellectual walls, physical walls, every type of walls that we have created around ourselves, isolating ourselves from the whole world. All these things are our own creation. So, this is a situation which the nature has given us to take time, stay at home and think, understand and correct.

Awakening

This is not exactly the time for prayers. You can pray, if you like for redemption, for better awareness, for better understanding. But this is not only the time for prayers; this is also the time for awakening. It’s extremely important. We must be aware. It is indeed a practical joke that the nature is now playing. The dolphins have come back to the lakes of Venice, swans and various birds, migratory birds are roaming free without any kind of fear of human intervention. So many birds, animals, various species are roaming around without fear. Whales are swimming in the oceans without expecting or without having to worry about somebody attacking and killing them. Every species on Earth has been harmed by human species. Every species on Earth is in danger, is in fear of one species, human species who kill indiscriminately, without reason.

We breed for the sake of our palates and we kill them for the sake of our palates. We don’t care. We have no remorse. We have no guilt. We even kill our own people, we wage wars for nothing. Knowing fully well or fully being aware that we can’t take even a pebble from earth when we die, we still try to make a lot of spaces for ourselves; just to satisfy our ego and when we die, we take nothing from here.

So, this is a race of unconscious living. Our race has been living unconsciously; this space and time is given, this situation is given, so that we are aware that we need to do something about it. When we decide to make drastic, lasting changes, or when we take good decisions to change, there will be lasting effect. We must live consciously. The answer is conscious living. The answer is being aware. The answer is being righteous, being compassionate, kind and selfless.

This is our future. This is exactly what we are. Think about it. It’s worth thinking. We’ll talk again later.

Thank you.
